After conducting extensive joint laboratory research and testing, our team
has developed the most potent herbal formula possible for addressing
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) concerns in a safe and natural manner.
Besides the proprietary process for producing
PMS Lite capsules, the scientific principles
involved have been thoroughly tested and proven over 5,000 years!
Since time-eternal, the ancient Ayurvedic practitioners have understood that
women play versatile roles during their lifespan.
As the world changes and progresses, the roles of women become
more demanding and challenging. For centuries, Indian queens and
princesses have used various Ayurvedic herbs mixed with milk, honey, and
other nutrients to relieve themselves of the excruciating discomfort caused
by the cyclic changes in hormones and chemical changes in the brain brought
about by premenstrual syndrome and menstruation itself.

PMS Lite contains the most potent herbal
concentrates available in Ayurvedic Science. When formulated in the
correct amounts and blended by our proprietary process, these extracts improve hormone utilization, provide an overall hormonal
balance, reduce cyclical bleeding, and promote relaxation of the uterine
musculature. PMS Lite alleviates symptoms of PMS syndrome by acting through estrogen-receptor
dependent mechanisms to minimize the negative effects of estrogen.
The destructive effect of stomach acids on active herb ingredients has prevented the
introduction of this ancient wisdom in capsule form for centuries. The team
at India Herbs has solved this problem by developing a potentiating formula
in conjunction with natural absorption catalysts and bioenhancing capsule-coating to prevent premature
degradation of key constituents.
PMS Lite nourishes and stimulates the
female urogenital and reproductive system to help you cope with the
discomfort and unpleasant symptoms associated with your menstrual cycle.
It regulates the anabolic growth
hormone. This hormone controls the metabolic processes (including protein
synthesis) in almost all tissues and affects
the pituitary gland by increasing the production of luteinizing hormone (LH)
and shifting the ratio of estrogen to progesterone in favor of progesterone
thus counterbalancing the negative effects of estrogen (mood swings,
depression, sleep problems, and menstrual irregularity).
PMS Lite elicits the production of gamma-linolenic acid, which is involved in the
metabolism of hormone-like substances called prostaglandins that regulate
pain and inflammation in the body. It also controls the "smooth
muscle/whole body magnesium gradient" which is critical in maintaining and
building blood cells. Research studies show that although women with
PMS do not differ in their serum levels of magnesium, levels of magnesium
inside red blood cells are significantly lower in women with PMS. The higher
the magnesium levels, the slimmer the chance of mood
swings. PMS Lite also promotes the synthesis of neurotransmitters in
the brain such as serotonin and dopamine which serve as sedatives.
Menstruation is based upon a delicate and
intricate balance between the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian-uterine (H-P-O-U)
axis, emotional states, and nutrient availability. Disruption of this balance may result in
menstrual irregularities. PMS Lite is adaptogenic in nature, meaning
that it will restore the imbalances that you experience
and maintain equilibrium. It also serves as an immunomodulator by enhancing
defense functions like leucocytosis
(increased production of white blood cells) and neutrophilia (increased
production of neutrophils) - keeping your immune system intact despite
additional stresses imposed by menstruation. This
enriching formula will provide you the energy and calmness to progress through your
day with happiness and clarity.
Simply
take one PMS Lite capsule two times per day to
maintain and intensify these effects on your body over time.
PMS Lite is a safe, proprietary selection of
special herbs renowned for their PMS Relief properties. Concentrated
Extracts of these herbs have been blended in a powerfully effective
combination to increase assimilation and effective potency of each
ingredient while eliminating unwanted side-effects. Gathered from
throughout India, they include:
●
Shatavari - Asparagus Racemosus (Shatavari)

Shatavari is a rejuvenating herb that soothes the body to relieve stress,
nurtures the reproductive system, and strengthens and nourishes tissues. It
supports proper liver function and metabolic processes to remove toxins from
the blood. This herb is also known to increase healing power. The plant contains triterpene saponins
and Shatavarin I
to IV,
which are phytoestrogen compounds, with effects similar to those of
estrogen, although somewhat weaker. Estrogens are a group of steroid
compounds, named for their importance in the oestrus cycle, functioning as
the primary female sex hormone. They enhance the feelings of spiritual
love and open Ojas ("that through which consciousness enters the physiology"). Shatavari provides nutrients the body uses to manufacture bones, muscles,
ligaments, tendons, and skin. These nutrients counteract many of the forces
that rob the structural system of strength, flexibility under stress, and ability to replenish the blood supply. Shatavari contains an antioxidant
called racemofuran which increases serotonin levels. Serotonin is a major neurotransmitter in the brain which
when deficient can cause perturbance, irritability, mood swings and
inadequacy to feel stress-free. Adequate serotonin leads to relaxation, a
sense of contentment, and emotional calm. It helps eliminates nervous tension
and creates a relaxed mood.
●
Brahmi
-
Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola)

The active constituents of Brahmi includes asiaticosides, triterpenoids,
brahmosides and brahminosides, madecassoside, madecassic acid, thiamine,
riboflavin, pyridoxine, vitamin K, asparate, glutamate, serine, threonine,
alanine, lysine, histidine, magnesium, calcium and sodium. Brahmi has
strong anti-inflammatory properties. It strengthens
connective tissue and the cells in the walls of blood vessels. This
improves circulation which in turn ensures adequate blood supply and
nutrition to female reproductive organs, alleviates erratic hormone levels, and
elicits a sublime feeling of bliss by releasing dopamine-like properties in
the body.
●
Gokshura - Tribulus Terrestris (Tribulus)

Gokshura stimulates the production of the
Luteinizing Hormone (LH). When LH levels are elevated, the natural
production of progesterone also increases. LH is a hormone that also
increases sex drive. This herb also has a stimulating
effect on the liver by helping to convert cholesterol and fats into hormones
and energy. When this action is combined with the increase in
progesterone levels which promote protein synthesis and nitrogen balance,
the body achieves a faster recuperation and recovery from muscular stress. Gokshura has a
tremendous positive impact on strength and stamina.
•
Ghrita Kumari -
Aloe Vera (Aloe Vera)

Aloe Mucopolysaccharides, the active constituent of Ghrita Kumari, acts as potent
anti-inflammatory agent on the uteral lining. They foster nutrient
absorption and enhance the immune system by reducing harmful bacteria in the
urogenital tract. The leaf juice forms the main
source of the herb. Aloe has been long used for a host of
diseases, particularly
those connected with the reproductive system.
●
Ashoka - Saraca Indica (Ashoka Tree)

The principal constituents of Ashoka are a steroidal component and calcium
salt. They have a stimulating effect
on the endometrium and ovarian tissue and are useful in treating menorrhagia due to uterine
fibroids, leucorrhea, and internal bleeding. Ashoka furthre supports a
comfortable state during PMS by
alleviating hot flashes and stabilizing mood swings.
•
Ela
- Elettaria
Cardamomum (Cardamom)

Cardamom as a powerful 5:1 ratio extract is rich in oxygenated compounds. The oil contains about 70
compounds which are mostly mono-terpenoids. The oil is rich in esters like terpinyl
acetate and
linalyl acetate which give a 'flowery' smell that evokes a sense of
calmness. These oils have inhibitory properties against aflatoxin, a potent
carcinogen associated with liver cancer. This extract reduces the production
of bile and gastric acid in the digestive system thus minimizing the
likelihood of cramps.
•
Musta
- Cyperus Rotundus (Cyperus)

Cyperine is the major constituent in Musta. It possesses hypotensive, anti-inflammatory,
and diuretic properties. Musta is used in
Ayurveda as a tonic,
diuretic, diaphoretic, and stimulant. The potent 10:1 ratio extract helps
you cope with the unique demands of menstruation placed on your body by
boosting your overall energy levels.
•
Vidari
- Pueraria Tuberosa (Indian Kudzu)

The root of Vidari has alterative,
aphrodisiac, tonic, stimulant properties which are traditionally used to
support a comfortable state before, during,
and after menstruation. This herb's constituents help to
stabilize mood swings and reduce hot flashes.
Vidari
creates harmony and balance, helping
to make the transition through menstrual cycles smoother.
•
Tulasi
- Ocimum Tenuiflorum (Holy
Basil)

Tulasi contains alkaloids,
glycosides, saponins, and tannins. The leaves contain ascorbic acid and carotene
and its extracts have hepatoprotective effects against liver damage. The extract improves glucose tolerance and
potentiates the action of exogenously-injected insulin. Tulasi also
displays anti-inflammatory activity. The effect of ursolic acid, a triterpene
from the leaves, reduces histamine release, by
elevating the number of mast cells in the body. Mast cells are best known
for their
role in allergy and wound healing and defense against pathogens. The
constituents from the leaves have anti-pyretic activity. Anti-pyretics
prevent or reduce fever by lowering the body temperature from a raised state.
A fever is part of the body's immune response to infection. Antipyretics
cause
the hypothalamus to override an interleukin-induced increase in temperature.
The body will then work to lower the temperature and the result is a reduction
in fever. The combined impact of Tulasi's constituents soothes tissues
irritated during menstruation and helps prevent infection and hot flashes
during the period when your body's energy is drained by menstrual activity.
•
Jatamansi - Nardostachys Jatamansi (Jatamansi)

The principle constituents of Jatamansi are Jatamansone,
Jatamanshic acid, Virolin and Diastereomer. Traditionally, Jatamnsi has been
used as a herb for Central Nervous System disorders such as epilepsy,
hysteria, and convulsions.
This herb
tones, cleanses, nourishes, and strengthens the female reproductive organs.
Hence, it is used by Ayurvedic Doctors to treat PMS, menopause, and pelvic
inflammatory disease like endometriosis. It also supports deeper
tissue and builds blood and so it helps to overcome infertility, prepare the womb for conception, prevent
miscarriage and act as a tonic to increase lactation
and normalize hormones which affect the uterus.
These
ingredients comprise a Proprietary Blend that goes to work directly on the entire
female reproductive system with positive impact on hormonal levels, blood flow, and
emotional well-being.
